To communicate an unleash of fury, or the build up to it, I explored ways to use contrast, perspective, and scale.

Color Studies

I tested a range of color and light scenarios to support the card’s story, of which the dark background read clearest. I changed the color of the serpent to better complement the other two Magic Card illustrations and the red mana of the card.
