THE RUNNER’S JOURNEY
Juma Fit commissioned me to transform their outdoor fitness space by creating a running-themed, graffiti-inspired mural. It’s a celebration of runners’ perseverance, with a path that winds through obstacle-laden letters leading to a triumphant finish.

Design Iterations
My first pass imagined the runner’s spirit as embodied by a horse, cheetah, and falcon, representing power, focus, and speed. I also tried incorporating their logo into the iconic finish-line.
Feedback from the client directed me towards a letter-oriented direction. I used outlines, highlights, patterns, and drips to create a graffiti look.
Painting Process
Impact
The mural creates a fitness environment that energizes and inspires clients, both children and adults. It’s a landmark visible from the road as people drive by. Additionally, Juma Fit uses the mural as an eye-catching background in promotional social media content.
